Warlocks progress in their "Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest" questline - Chapter 2

Last week both locks started doing Delegation (Step 7), picking up all these bits from each of the bosses.  Once they had all their bits they went to the portal near Beth'tilac to use them, and start fighting Volcanus.

So here is a quick overview of the speical boss fight from Sev.
  • 4 Harbingers of flame to start - we just needed to keep them interrupted until they died.  A missed interrupt caused an AOE fire attack (like the fire mages in Zul'Aman)
  • Next stage - tormented protector - giant guardian tree.  Pretty much a standard tank'n kill fight, but he'll periodically root the raid, then do a stomp.  if the healers dispel the roots before he stomps the raid goes flying over the edge of the zone.
  • Final stage, Volcanus - I got turned into a giant tree with 95% damage reduction in the previous phase and Volcanus focussed on me, so no real risks.  Just dps'd him down quickly before his AOE could wipe the rest of the raid.  Then loot the branch!

So once they have the branch, they can activate it and gain the title Blessed Defender of Nordrassil, as well as get a buff where they sprout flowers on the ground.  Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it!!  I didnt' realise it would go away and never come back.
Here is Sev completing Nordrassil's Bough (step 8).  The staff is spawning here I  believe.

In Emergency Extraction (Step 9), you escort Kalecgos to Coldarra where he is ambushed by Twilight dragonspawn.  Tarecgosa flies in to his rescue but is mortally wounded in the process.

In At One (Step 10), Kalecgos asks Sev if he can bond Tarecgosa's essence with Sev, so he may be the only mortal bound with a dragon (well he and every other person on the quest!).

Now at Time Grows Short (Step 11), Sev and Aza must collect 1000 Seething Cinders so they can attend the Dragon council and choose Malygos' successor.  That will take about 8 weeks of raiding....
